If an appointment is agreed and arranged, I will send you a very brief assessment questionnaire which I will ask you to send back to me before your first appointment. The first appointment/assessment session provides an opportunity for me to get to know more about you and your requirements and whether I have the relevant skills to meet them. It also provides an opportunity for you to ascertain whether you feel comfortable working with me, and whether you feel I have the relevant skills to meet your needs. Once this is established, we can agree a treatment plan, and number of sessions. (The treatment plan and number of sessions always remain flexible throughout and will be reviewed throughout the therapy according to your needs).

I work in private practice within Seaford (currently online) and I charge £90.00 per 60-minute hour. The initial assessment is also charged at £90.00 per 60-minute hour. I do however offer the opportunity to talk free of charge by telephone for up to 20 minutes with no obligation prior to making an initial assessment appointment to discuss any queries/questions/anxieties you may have regarding undertaking Counselling/Psychotherapy.  

Please note that I cannot work with individuals presenting with a high level of suicide intent via Skype or Zoom. (If you are feeling suicidal you can contact The Samaritans on 0330 094 5717 24 for confidential support 24 hours a day. If you feel at imminent risk you can also go to your local A and E department. If you feel at imminent risk and are for any reason unable to get to A and E please dial 999). 

I do not work with (due to not having the relevant expertise) with the following presentations.

• Current Psychosis
• Perpetrators of Violence or Sexual Abuse

(This is not necessarily an exhaustive list; and if after assessment I feel I cannot work with an individual I will discuss this and my reasons fully with you and attempt to find other referral options for you).  

I also work for the Priory Ticehurst House (currently online) The Priory is also able to offer consultant psychiatric support if required. If you would like to see me under the Priory you can either e mail me at the above e mail address or alternatively you can contact the therapy services administrator on 01580 202249, and say that you would like to make an appointment with me. (A GP referral letter may be required, and it may also be required that you have an assessment with a consultant psychiatrist in the first instance according to the presenting issue, and some Private Medical Insurers also require this). I charge £90.00 per 60 minute hour for clinical supervision online. (I would require clear and actual evidence of relevant qualifications to the type of work being undertaken; membership of relevant governing bodies; professional liability insurance (if relevant); and any further relevant information deemed necessary before agreeing to enter into a clinical supervisory relationship).   

I do not work with under 18 year olds. (However; the Priory have a comprehensive in patient and out patient service for under 18's. If you would like more information regarding this please contact the therapy services administrator on 01580 202249.
